Albuquerque International Sunport is located 3 miles from downtown Albuquerque, New Mexico. The Pueblo-inspired architecture of the original terminal (designed by Ernest Blumenthal) would be replaced in the 1960\'s by a more modern building, though the 1939 structure would become the home of an office of the TSA, and would end up on the National Register of Historic Places. ABQ serves the Albuquerque/Santa Fe municipal area, and currently handles nearly six million passengers a year. Airport amenities include local bus, taxi and limousine service, in addition to shuttles, taxis and Amtrak. There is plenty to do in Albuquerque, whether you\'re visiting the BioPark Zoo, the Albuquerque Museum of Art and History, catching the minor league Albuquerque Isotopes, or taking in the arts scene, which is one of the best-kept secrets in the American Southwest. American Airlines, Delta, Great Lakes, New Mexico Airlines, Southwest, United Airlines and US Airways flights are also available.
